DETAILED INFORMATION

The COVID-19 Antigen Test Cassette is a rapid test for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigen in anterior nasal swabs. It is used to aid in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection that may lead to COVID-19 disease.
The test is suitable for people with symptoms. Minors must be tested with the assistance of an adult. The test is single use only and intended for self-testing, it is recommended to use this test within 7 days of symptom onset.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not use after the expiry date.
Read the Package insert carefully before use and use only the ingredients included in this test cassette
Make sure that the foil pouch containing the test cassette is not damaged before opening it for use. The test cassette
should be used within 30 minutes after opening the foil pouch.
Do not eat, drink or smoke in the area where the samples and kits are handled.
Carry out the test at a room temperature of 15 – 30 °C.
Humidity and temperature can influence the results.

USUAGE NOTES

Each test can only be used once
Interpretation of any result after 20 minutes may result in wrong test results
Children aged 2 to 15 years old should have their samples collected and tested by an adult. Do not use the test for anyone under 2 years of age
A positive result cannot determine whether you are infectious
Positive results do not rule out bacterial infection or coinfection with other viruses.
If the result is positive，one must still confirm the results immediately by a laboratory PCR test.
False negative results are more likely to occur if the test is performed after 5 days of symptom onset
False negative results are more likely to occur in the later phase of infection and in asymptomatic individuals
A negative result does not rule out infection with another type of respiratory virus
Negative results does not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and the person not being infectious. If symptoms persist ,
please confirmed via a laboratory PCR-test.
Even if the result is negative, you still need to observed all protective and hygienic measures
The test cannot differentiate between SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 Virus
Repeat testing is recommend（between 24-48 hours after your first test）if there is an ongoing suspicion of infection，
being in a high risk setting or where there is an occupational risk or other requirement

STORAGE

Store as packaged in the sealed pouch at room temperature or refrigerated (4-30 ℃). The test is stable to the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. The test must remain in the sealed pouch until use. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not use beyond the expiration date.

The Clungene COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigens in nasopharyngeal swab or nasal swab from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19 within the first seven days of symptoms.

The main benefit of this device is to find out whether a person carries the SARS-CoV-2 virus during onset of COVID-19. Recommended use is to test persons with COVID-19 symptoms.

Any person who has a positive rapid antigen test result should immediately have a confirmatory PCR test at a COVID-19 testing centre.

Warnings and Precautions

For in vitro diagnostic use only

Do not use this test as the only guide to manage your illness. Please contact your State or Territory Coronavirus testing services to get a laboratory PCR test if your symptoms are persisting or worsening, or if you are concerned at any time

The test is less reliable in the later phase of infection and in asymptomatic individuals

Negative results may occur if testing is not performed within the first 7 days of symptom onset

If the test is to be used on a person under 15 years of age, the test must be undertaken by an adult

Keep out of reach of children to reduce the risk of accidentally drinking the extraction reagent or swallowing small parts

Do not use this product after the expiration date

Only use the test once and only with the provided parts

Do not undertake testing in direct sunlight

Avoid contact with Extraction Reagent. If the extraction reagent is accidentally exposed to a person’s skin or eye, rinse with plenty of running water immediately. If irritation persists, seek medical assistance

This test involves taking a sample from deep inside your nose. When doing the test, pay particular attention to the instructions on how to swab your nose. Incorrect swabbing may lead to an inaccurate test result

The test cassette should remain in the sealed pouch until use

Wash hands thoroughly before and after testing

Dispose all parts of the used test kit into the waste bag, then discard the waste bag in the general waste

Negative test results do not exclude infection with COVID-19 (so face masks, social distancing and good hygiene practice must be maintained)
Positive test results or symptomatic persons require immediate confirmatory testing using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

It is designed as a self‑test for patients. For best performance, it is recommended this test be used within 7 days post-onset of symptoms.

Storage and stability
Store the kit at 2 ‑ 30 °C / 36 ‑ 86 °F and protect from direct sunlight. The expiry date of the materials is indicated on the external packaging.
Do not freeze the kit.
